Serbia stands for the major plum manufacturer in Europe.The production involve prune - plum, marmalade and distilled schnaps “rakija slivovica”. Schnapps production takes more than 50% of plum yield per year. The most dominant is “Pozegaca”. Fruit has fair - violet color, weights about 18 grams and contents about 18% brix saccharn.“Cacanska rodna”, ripens at the ending of August, oval shaped, light violet color, size bigger than “Pozegaca”, weights 30 grams with yellow mellowness and contents about16% brix saccharn.“Cacanska lepotica” is like most other plums very adaptable to climate of this region. Fruit weights about 35 grams, oval shaped and light violet color with green yellow mellowness and with sourish juice. Advantageously persistent on limature and adaptable for freezing as well as for transportation.
