Red currant

Red currant is widespreaded in a western Serbia where optimal climatic conditions rise its growth. Average yield is about 30 tons per hectare. Fruit is a rich with healthy components. Various sorts exists and most productive are: ”Industrija”, “Rondom”, “Red Lackey”, “Rovada” and others. “Industrija” is a traditional German sort that ripens from late summer till the autumn. It is persistent on most agro-diseases, but it doesn’t get on frost. It has strong claret color. “Rondom” is a Dutch sort of blackcurrant persistent on agro-diseases. Cluster is large and long rich with fruits. It is very productive and easy to harvest.
