Strawberry

Serbia is important European strawberry producer due its extraordinary quality. The most dominant sort is “Senga Sengana”. With its unique flavour, aroma, color and regional agro-characteristics it is a well known and highly rewarded. “Senga Sengana” ripens at the end of May and is highly productive sort. Fruit weights about 10 grams, it is conical shaped with strong claret color. Fruit is juicy, mellow, savory and aromatic. Adaptable for freezing and transportation while still does not loose much of quality. Other sorts are grown usually for fresh consumption.
